REUNITE

A shared lost-animal registry for neighbors, shelters, vets, rescues, and counties.
LOCAL FIRST • COUNTY-TO-COUNTY WHEN NEEDED • AI ASSISTS • HUMANS CONFIRM
Field Notice No. 001Prototype

Stop making every lost animal start from zero.

Somebody loses a dog in Oakdale. One person posts to Facebook. Another checks a shelter. A vet scans a chip. Riverbank never sees the post. A neighboring county has a matching report nobody knows exists.

We do not need another isolated lost-pet list. We need the lists to start talking to each other.
Animal Report CardForm RE-1
Microchip note: most implanted pet chips are not readable by a normal phone. A compatible scanner, vet, shelter, or animal-control officer reads the chip number. This registry can then use that number in the match process. Phone NFC works well for optional collar tags.

How the registry would work

01 // REPORTPhoto, species, markings, time, location.
02 // LOCAL CHECKOakdale, Riverbank, nearby shelters and reports first.
03 // VISUAL MATCHAI compares markings, coat patterns, ears, face, scars and body shape.
04 // ID CHECKCompare entered microchip number and optional QR/NFC collar tag.
05 // EXPANDStanislaus County, then neighboring counties, then statewide.
06 // CONFIRMAI ranks possibilities. Humans confirm the actual animal.
Privacy RulesDo Not Skip

YES

Animal similarity matching, owner-approved records, vet/shelter reports, pet QR/NFC tags, chip-number workflow, private owner contact.

NO

Random stranger face lookup, exposed home addresses, public owner directories, or turning animal-recovery records into a people-search system.

AI does the finding. Humans do the confirming.
Community Operator WantedOakdale / Riverbank

Want to run it? I'll build it.

EAS can build the technology. I do not want to run the lost-animal organization.

If somebody local loves animals, understands the community, and wants to operate something like this, call me. Shelters, vets, rescue groups, Facebook-group admins, neighborhood volunteers — help shape it before we build the heavy backend.
